Drone Contains Drug crashes in the US-Mexico Border

 


An unmanned aircraft, or drones containing narcotics, falls on the border of the United States (US) and Mexico.

"We get reports after the drone crashed on Tuesday (20/01/2015) near San Ysidro Border, between Mexico and California," said police spokesman Jorge Morrua Tijuana, as quoted by the Associated Press, Thursday (22/01/2015) .

Six packages containing narcotics is estimated to have a weight of 2.7 kilograms. This package tighten the unmanned aircraft controlled remotely.

"The investigation aimed to determine the origin and aircraft and who controls it. This is not the first time the drones used to smuggle drugs," said Morrua.

Many other innovations in drug smuggling from Mexico to the US. These efforts include using catapults, light aircraft and tunnels.

April 2014, authorities in South Carolina found the drone in a prison fence. The plane was carrying cell phones, marijuana and tobacco.(nbcscandiego)
