At Indonesi News.
Pedrosa can not race at least in the MotoGP series Austin (12 April) and MotoGP Argentina (April 19). The Spanish rider had to recover after undergoing surgery on his right arm on Friday (04/03/2015) ago.
To replace Pedrosa, Honda was considering Stoner name, Stoner the 2007 world champion with Ducati and 2011 with Honda, retired at the end of the season 2012. After retirement, he is still several times following the Honda motor testing.
However, Honda finally considers Stoner as an unrealistic option. They also prefer the testing rider Hiroshi Aoyama as pedrosa substitute.
"Yes, we had to talk about it," said the Repsol Honda team manager, Livio Suppo, told Gazzetta dello Sport when asked about the possibility of taking Stoner.
"There are a pro, but more contra. So, we decided to leave that option. People do not realize how high the level of competition (in MotoGP). Although someone had won many victories, it does not mean he will be immediately fast when returning race, "added Suppo.
"Casey did not know the track at two upcoming series and in the last two years he only raced for four days with this bike," he continued.
"I understand the return of Casey can trigger the imagination of people. Everyone will love it. But, what if he does not fast? What will be said and written of people?" Suppo said.
