President Barack Obama says it's time to decide what kind of country we want to.
At Indonesia News. Obama asked this question to the public on Saturday (31/1) in his weekly address. He asked if the people want an economy where only a small of group really wealthy, or an economy where everyone who works hard has a chance to get ahead.
The President said he was sending a budget to Congress a plan that is based on "the idea that the country is doing the best, if everyone has a fair chance, everyone can fair share, and everyone is subject to the same rules."
He said his proposed budget will remove easiness for specific groups in the tax code and the resulting savings could be used for tax cuts for the middle class and give businesses incentives to invest in America.
Obama is aware that some Republicans will oppose the approach, but if they have ideas to help the middle class, he is willing to cooperate with them.
